The Chungbuk Regional Office of SMEs and Startups held a certificate-awarding ceremony on the 18th for 33 global growth companies and global promising companies in the Chungbuk region selected for the '2023 Global Strong Small Enterprises 1000+ Project'.
The newly introduced 'Global Strong Small Enterprises 1000+ Project' drew applications from 1,433 companies nationwide, of which 1,036 were designated. In the Chungbuk region, 68 companies applied and 43 were designated — 11 growth companies and 22 promising companies.
The global growth companies include Nexfarm Korea, GST Industry, Farmskin, Blue Mount Technology, CNA Biotech, Kirin Cosmetics, Soma, Techpia, Aspe, Wellmark, and Rio M&C.
The global promising companies include Oldam, Rodek, Ildong IMC, Firekim, Lipaco, Mac Biotech, Nason Science, Morris & Co, Misplus, Z Biotech, LCC, H&N Corporation, EVSys, Pureman, Geumjin, Welbio, Place, Handae Chemical, Samji Techin, Momenyong Bio, Ppeokkugi, and Taewoong Food.
Companies designated under this year's project were automatically selected for the Ministry's Export Voucher program. The 'Export Voucher' is an overseas-marketing support program — funded by government subsidies and company contributions — that lets companies choose service providers from 13 overseas-marketing options, including design development, promotion, buyer discovery, and overseas certification.
In addition, until the designation's validity period of December 2024 (two years), preferential benefits are provided when participating in programs of export-support institutions including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, along with preferential support in commercial banks' interest and exchange rates and in policy-finance institutions' limits and guarantee ratios.
Jeong Seon-uk, head of the Chungbuk Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, said, "We will actively support these designated companies in cooperation with the Chungbuk Provincial Office and export-related institutions so that they can enhance their export performance through continuous overseas-marketing activities and grow into global strong small enterprises."
